
Benjamin Gruitt
Ben Gruitt is a GHG Manager for McCormick & Company. In his previous role as Carbon Solutions Manager for RE Tech Advisors, he managed teams that calculate GHG inventories, developed and administered decarbonization programs, and supported compliance with public reporting frameworks. His past work experience also includes serving as Director of Sustainability and Advanced Bioproducts for the Corn Refiners Association, where he co-founded the Plant Based Products Council to focus on expanding the market for green packaging and other sustainable products. Previously, Ben was an active member of the Circular Economy Industry Association (CEIA), Sustainability Leadership Forum (SLF), Business Council for Sustainable Energy’s (BCSE) International Policy Committee, and International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). He has also been a lead delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties.
Ben is a graduate of James Madison University and holds an MBA, Finance from John Hopkins University. His professional certifications include an Executive Certificate in Ethical Circular Economy from Arizona State University, GHG Protocol Corporate Standard Training from the World Resource Institute, and an ISSP-SA credential from International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
