Christina Martin
Christina Martin has over 25 years experience in global communications, government relations, and trade association management and presently works in the plant-based products sector. She began working on renewable fuel issues in 1994 and most recently served as Executive Vice President of the Renewable Fuels Association in Washington D.C. Earlier in her career, Ms. Martin, as Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications for CTIA – The Wireless Association, oversaw The Wireless Foundation. Two of the foundation’s programs, Donate a Phone and CALL TO PROTECT, were on the leading edge of cell phone recycling efforts. Not only were these programs environmentally conscientious, the collection of more than 2 million phones raised $1.9 million for the creation of an endowment funding domestic abuse programs. Ms. Martin has also advised the financial services industry as Senior Managing Director for Global Strategic Communications for SIFMA, considered Wall Street’s most powerful trade association. Her political experience spans tenures in the White House, U.S. Congress, and Office of the Governor of Iowa. In addition, Ms. Martin served as a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Institute of Politics. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Kansas.
