Green Seal

Standards Steering Committee and Technical and Policy Advisory Group

Standards Steering Committee

The Standards Steering Committee is Green Seal’s primary decision-making body for ensuring the technical rigor, credibility, and market acceptance of our standards. It plays a vital role in advancing our mission by guiding the development of standards through a transparent, balanced, and consensus-based process that references ANSI and the ISEAL Code for best practices. The Steering Committee receives guidance and support from the subject matter experts in our Technical and Policy Advisory Group.

Technical and Policy Advisory Group

Green Seal’s Technical and Policy Advisory Group is a standing body of subject matter experts that supports the Standards Steering Committee and Green Seal staff in the development, revision, and continuous improvement of Green Seal standards. Members provide expert technical and policy advice on key topics related to product sustainability, including best practices, emerging science, and the practical application of proposed requirements across the marketplace. Their input helps ensure Green Seal standards remain credible, rigorous, and aligned with evolving sustainability expectations.
